"Caitríona Phaidín bean Sheáin Uí Loideáin"

Ba é Sean Ó Loideáin fear céile Caitríona é. is dócha fuair sé bás roimh Caitríona. Ach ní raibh sé curtha i reilig. Ní feicimid é ansin. Níl Caitríona cosúil ag súil é a fháil ansin. Fuair sé bás in áit eile. Cén fáth? B'fhéidir bhí caillte ar muir, ach ní maith le Caitríona mairnéalaigh. B'fhéidir maraíodh sé sa chogadh. Ba Éireannach é, ach Tá Briogáid Éireannach ag Arm na Breataine.

Tá ag fear céile Nóirín Sheánín an fhadhb chéanna. Níl ainm aige fiú cosúil a iníon.

Sean Ó Loideáin was Caitríona's husband. He probably died before Caitríona. But he was not buried in the cemetery. We do not see him there. Caitríona does not seem to expect to find him there. He died in some other place. Why? Perhaps he was lost at sea, but Caitríona does not like sailors. Perhaps he was killed in the war. He was an Irishman, but there is an Irish Brigade in the British Army

Nóirín Sheánín's husband has the same problem. He does not even have a name, like his daughter.
